The whole building has recently been renovated to provide our guests with a modern and comfortable environment to enjoy your stay in Adelaide. It is brand new and your room is waiting for you. Adelaide Backpackers Inn in Adelaide is the perfect place to relax and to plan your trips to the outback, kangaroo island or the many interesting places just outside of Adelaide.

If you want to have some fun, try our lounge with a 52" TV, a huge movie collection, gaming console and board games. Or just grab a book from our library and find a nice place to relax. Enjoy a nice BBQ and a glass of good South Australian made wine in our canopied backyard. Lie in our canvas deck chairs and relax after a busy day of sightseeing. To check your emails, upload pictures to Facebook® or book a flight ticket, you can use our free computers with broadband internet access and printer or just use our free WiFi.

All dorm rooms have King Size beds, quality bed linen, ergonomic innerspring mattresses and offer A/C cooling & heating to make your stay comfortable in winter and summer.

And our kitchen is equipped with two large stoves, modern fridges and freezer, cutlery and everything you need to prepare and serve a delicious meal.

History

The building for Adelaide Backpackers Inn, or as we call it, ABPI was built during the 1840's It was originally built as a Hotel, 'The Horse and Jockey Inn' as it was near the Victoria Park Racecourse In the 1980's it was converted to a Backpacker Hostel. Under the management of Hostel 109 it has been renovated/upgraded in the past 12 months and now caters for the quieter and more discerning traveller as does Hostel 109.
